Keep a Seat at the Table While WFH: Lessons in Resilience from Female Execs in Government Affairs and Corporate Counsel

To say the pandemic has taken a toll on senior-level women executives is an understatement. According to a survey by Chief, a private network for business women at the rising VP or above level, seven in 10 executive women said they have taken on more professional responsibilities since the start of the pandemic, with nearly half (45%) citing managing others while dealing with their own challenges as their biggest hurdle. Nearly one-fourth (24%) said they plan to leave their position sooner due to their company’s response to the pandemic. Yet the COVID-19 crisis has also given women an opportunity to shine: research also shows that they excel at leading during a crisis.

After over a year of working from home and battling burnout, what lessons in resilience can women leaders in general counsel and government affairs use to steer their companies and organizations toward more equitable standards? How can their experiences lead to more empathy in the workplace and help emerging professional women in their fields?

Join the FiscalNote Executive Institute March 18, 12 to 1:00 p.m. EST for an exclusive, closed-door virtual roundtable with women leaders discussing what they’ve let go of, what they’ve held onto, and how they survived and succeeded, despite trying circumstances. Following the discussion, participants are invited to stay for informal breakout sessions from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. EST. This program is presented in partnership with Women in Government Relations.
