Keep a Seat at the Table While WFH: Lessons in Resilience from Female Execs in Government Affairs and Corporate Counsel

To say the pandemic has taken a toll on senior-level women executives is an understatement. According to a survey by Chief, a private network for business women at the rising VP or above level, seven in 10 executive women said they have taken on more professional responsibilities since the start of the pandemic, with nearly half (45%) citing managing others while dealing with their own challenges as their biggest hurdle. Nearly one-fourth (24%) said they plan to leave their position sooner due to their company’s response to the pandemic. Yet the COVID-19 crisis has also given women an opportunity to shine: research also shows that they excel at leading during a crisis.
